CLOSING COMMENTS

I had the opportunity to attend the buy-sell day in Mount Forest, Ontario, recently. This is a huge event. It was a fun trip which gave me the opportunity to visit with several poultry friends. The highlight of the trip, however, did not take place at Mount Forest. I had the pleasure of spending a few hours on the Saturday afternoon visiting with an old friend, Don Richardson. That visit was worth the trip. Don is now 87 and no longer has birds, but still enjoys talking about them. He judged here on the Island a couple of times and showed at the Spring Show a few years; he even won grand champion one year.

Plan to show at the first-ever fall show that Jeremy Ludyka is organizing this October. It has been a long time since there has been a fall show on the Island.
